The anodized Air Traffic Controller is light, easy to operate and won’t lock up unexpectedly. Performs well abseiling as well as belaying. Suitable for single or double ropes. The ATC was one of the first of the modern generation of slick belay devices and is still a firm favourite. Because this is a relatively slick device we recommend that beginners consider the ATC-XP which offers more friction.
