Neil Bentley and Rich Heap decided to free climb the classic Salathe Wall in Yosemite. This being their first big free wall they decided to make a film as well. The struggles shown in the preparations for such an adventure are evident before they even get the wall. The film shows the pain, the friendship, the moments of humanity, humour and of course the bloody bagels, whilst spending five days suspended in the vertical world.
The extras on the DVD include Neil Bentley and Rich Heap training on the grit and limestone of the Peak District; more climbing in the US plus crew scenes and a director's commentary. Perhaps the best known extra is
Splinter Splinter films Malcolm Smith doing possibly the hardest boulder problem in the UK. It's on his home board, in his bedroom.
