The new Hirundos is the flagship lightweight rock harness from Petzl.

A redevelopment of the old Hirundos this follows the same philosophy, light is right; and so is comfort. Unlike many dedicated sport climbing harnesses the Hirundos has a well formed waist belt with four large gear racks (this makes the harness good for hard trad) and elasticated leg loops. The belt is secured with Petzl's usual lightweight and effective DoubleBack buckle.

We think the Hirundos will be a very popular harness, especially after Steve McClure got in the national press wearing one!

Remember that the waist-belt should sit "above" your hips and be tight enough that the harness cannot be pulled down.
