The most striking aspect of Lakes Bouldering is the wide variety of rock types and environments. From the seaside sandstone of St Bees to the high volcanic boulders of the Central Fells and from the grit-like Carrock gabbro to clean Eskdale granite. This variety means that conditions are likely to be decent somewhere in the region on most days of the year.
